The Balbeinhof – its history and your hosts
For a long time, the Balbeinhof was just one of the many farms in Luson. In 1979, grandpa Johann Ploner and his wife Kreszenz converted it into a guesthouse and together they welcomed their guests for many years, as well as in the adjoining bar.
After the death of grandma Kreszenz, the guesthouse came to a standstill for 10 years. In 2022, new life was breathed into the traditional house – with 3 new holiday apartments, the farm tavern and ski rental as well as 2 private apartments.
Today, Franz Ploner welcomes you to the Balbeinhof together with his son Martin and Manuela, the good soul of the house. While Franz takes care of the animals, the field and forestry work, Martin is the man for every occasion and is happy to answer your holiday enquiries. Whether it’s breakfast or a hiking tip – as a warm-hearted hostess, Manuela and her delicious farm products will make your farm holiday in Luson an unforgettable one.

The prices shown are per night for 2 people including final cleaning. We charge €30 or €40 per day for additional people, young people and children from the age of 3 years. You are welcome to enjoy our rich breakfast buffet with farm products for a surcharge of €25.
The local tax of €1.25 per person and night will be collected directly on site at the end of your stay. Children and teenagers under 14 years are exempt from the tax.
To confirm your reservation, we ask for a deposit in the amount of €250 per week.

If you cancel up to 14 days before arrival, the deposit will be charged. If you cancel 3 days before arrival, we charge the full price.
- Check In & Check Out: your apartment is ready for occupancy from 3 pm. We ask that you vacate your holiday apartment by 10 am on the day of departure.
- Pets are not allowed out of consideration for our subsequent guests.
